Zeda’s Beat Box is a St. Louis based rock and reggae band that mixes English and traditional Hebrew song lyrics. The band creates a unique blend of Jewish tradition with modern pop music that has drawn crowds of both Jewish and non Jewish teens around the Midwest. The bands multicultural appeal has landed them shows in nightclubs, synagogues, and Jewish summer camps.

Zeda’s Beat Box was formed in January of 2007 by Dave Simon, the founder of Dave Simon's Rock School. The band features Simon and four teenagers from Rock School’s All-Star program. Zeda’s Beat Box began performing in synagogues in 2007 but their edgy soulful sound drew attention from the St. Louis rock scene. Simon began writing these new compositions in December of 2006 under the guidance of Rabbi Carnie Shalom Rose, Rabbi Dr. Neal Rose, and Cantorial Soloist Sharon Nathanson of congregation B’nai Amoona.
